I Care About What Still Works After The Hype Wears Off
I’m Dante. I run Dante’s Gym, train clients, lift several days a week, and spend an unreasonable amount of time figuring out which equipment is actually worth putting in a home gym.
I’ve spent about 15 years strength training, learning how to build muscle and get stronger, coaching other people, and building my own gym one useful piece at a time.
I write every article on this site. If I’ve used something, I’ll tell you. If I haven’t, I’ll tell you that too. The point is to help you make a better decision without pretending every product is amazing or every training problem needs a complicated solution.

How I Got Here
Sports Got Me Into Training. Lifting Is What Stuck.
I grew up playing baseball, basketball, and football. Over time, the part I cared about most became the training itself. Getting stronger, building muscle, learning how my body responded, and finding better ways to train became the thing I kept coming back to.
My home gym started with a few dumbbells in a garage. I kept adding equipment as my training changed, but that also taught me something pretty quickly. More equipment does not automatically make a better gym.
A rack can have great specs and still be wrong for your room. An attachment can look useful and spend the next five years getting in the way. The equipment that deserves space is the equipment that solves a real training problem and keeps earning its spot.
How I Review Equipment
A Review Should Tell You What The Product Page Won’t
I do not want to rewrite the manufacturer’s spec sheet and call it a review. When I can test something myself, I train on it, measure it, compare it with equipment I have used before, and pay attention to the design choices that affect actual workouts.
That means looking at adjustment speed, stability, durability, working dimensions, exercise interference, storage, attachment compatibility, long-term usefulness, and the little annoyances that only show up after you live with something.
I also separate firsthand experience from research. If I have not personally used a product, I base the recommendation on current specifications, manufacturer documentation, credible outside evidence, and how it compares with equipment I do know. I would rather tell you what I do not know than fake certainty.
What I’m Building
A Better Place To Make Better Training And Equipment Decisions
Dante’s Gym is for people who want to get stronger, build muscle, and build a home gym that actually supports the way they train. You do not need perfect programming, a warehouse full of equipment, or a supplement cabinet that looks like a chemistry set.
You need good information, equipment that solves the right problems, and a plan you can keep progressing.
