Dante’s Gym is a one-person operation.
I’m Dante. I write the articles, research the equipment, test the gear, take the photos, update the content, and make the recommendations you see across this site.
My goal is simple: help you make better decisions about your training and home gym without wasting money on equipment that doesn’t earn its place.
How Dante’s Gym Makes Money
Running a website and testing gym equipment costs money, so some of the links on Dante’s Gym are affiliate links.
If you click one of those links and make a purchase, I may receive a commission from the company.
You don’t pay anything extra.
The company simply knows you came through Dante’s Gym and may pay me a percentage of the sale.
That revenue helps support the site, the equipment I test, and the time it takes to create and maintain the content.
Affiliate Links Don’t Buy My Opinion
Getting paid a commission does not mean a product automatically gets recommended.
If something is overpriced, poorly designed, unstable, uncomfortable, or just doesn’t make sense for most home gyms, I’m going to tell you.
The same goes for equipment that is sent to me for free.
Receiving a product does not guarantee a positive review.
I’d rather tell you to skip something than recommend a bad product just because there’s money attached to the link.
Trust is worth more than one commission.
How I Choose What to Recommend
When possible, my recommendations are based on actually using and training with the equipment.
You can read more about my testing process, review standards, and how I handle free equipment on my How I Test Equipment page.
I look at things that matter in a real home gym, including:
- Stability and build quality
- Dimensions and how much space something takes up
- Adjustability and ease of use
- Comfort and ergonomics
- Weight capacity and construction
- Exercise versatility
- Price compared with what you actually get
- How the equipment performs during real training
- Who I think should buy it and who should probably skip it
I also compare products against other equipment I’ve used whenever that comparison is useful.
I’m not interested in rewriting a manufacturer’s product page and calling it a review.
Amazon Associates Disclosure
Dante’s Gym participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that allows websites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
If you purchase something through one of my Amazon links, I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you.
Other Affiliate Partnerships
I also work with fitness and home gym companies outside of Amazon.
That can include equipment manufacturers, retailers, software companies, and other businesses related to the topics I cover.
Whenever an affiliate relationship applies, clicking a qualifying link may result in Dante’s Gym receiving a commission.
Again, your price does not increase because you used my link.
The Bottom Line
Affiliate links help make Dante’s Gym possible.
But they don’t decide what I recommend.
If I think something is great, I’ll explain why.
If it has flaws, I’ll explain those too.
And if I think you’re better off keeping your money, I’ll tell you that.
That’s the standard I want every recommendation on Dante’s Gym to meet.
